What is it with some people these days, giving your kid a bizarre or strange name and thinking it’s somehow cool or clever? Its not, all its doing is giving that kid a childhood of misery and having the piss taken out of it, then that child becomes an adult and its strange looks and questions about how they got such a stupid name, doubt it helps much with getting a decent job either!

I note that the ABC (or should that be the ABD?) originally reported the girl's name as Abdce.
Surely that's grounds for a hefty lawsuit against them.

I originally thought the kids name sounded like ABCDE (Abicidee?) and they had put it down like that. But that’s the kids name

Was reading an article where they had tracked those ‘popular baby names of the year’ lists and they estimated there are about 400 girls called ABCDE in America including 16 5 year olds.
And people in America are allowed to carry guns

2009 was peak year with 32 baby girls named ABCDE

The bloke took the piss out of the kid in earshot and also then posted her name on social media. That is not fair on the kid. For posting it on social media I'm amazed he's not been fired.
But yes, the parent is a twat for naming their kid that.

What was the joke then 67? As far as I've read he just laughed at the name, then posted it all over social media. Sounds like mocking to me
It's a stupid name but its the parent that needs to be mocked.

The airline did nothing when she complained and when the media got involved have declined to say what action they took against the staff member.
Not sure it’s a straight sacking offence but you’d be on a final warning
